TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THE NEXT LEVEL
Utah Celtic FC Academy, started in 2010, is devoted to developing the foundations of our future competitive soccer players. The Academy is under the direction or Steve Magleby, BYU Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach.
The Celtic Academy has helped produce many of the top players and teams in the state. Our primary focus is to help our players develop a love for the game and equip them with the tools to be prepared for competitive soccer upon graduation from the Academy. It is open to players ages 5-8 of any skill level.
The Celtic Academy will be under the direction of Steve Magleby. Steve has been coaching with our club for over 13 years. He served as the Director of Coaching for Celtic and Rangers from 2012 – 2018 and currently is an Assistant Coach with BYU Women’s Soccer team.
He has aided in the development of dozens of players who have gone on to play at regional/national youth levels, and in college. He’s found success at all levels within the youth game, winning 6 State Cup championships, 3 Regional Championship and a National Championship in 2019, with many players from those teams being Academy alumni. He is committed to player development starting with our youngest players in the Academy.

The Mini’s Academy year is divided into two seasons. Fall and Spring. Each season will include 16 sessions. 32 sessions for the whole year.
Much of the academy structure will be focused on the kids playing the game. Each training session will begin in small sided games. After initial game play the players will be divided into training groups where the emphasis will be put on physical and technical development. In their training group they will receive instruction from their respective coaches. To end each training session the players will again be put into a small sided game play setting.
As the season progresses we will have days devoted to game play. The players will be divided into teams as we assess their skill level during their trainings. Games will consist of 4v4 without goalkeepers. Teams will be made up of 5-6 players.
